LASH EXTENSION FAQs
-
Lash extensions are individual synthetic or mink lashes that are glued onto each natural lash with a special adhesive. The result is a natural-looking, long-lasting enhancement to your lashes.
-
The lifespan of lash extensions depends on factors such as the type of extensions used, how well they are cared for, and the natural growth cycle of your lashes. Generally, lash extensions can last anywhere from 4-8 weeks.
-
While you technically can wear mascara with lash extensions, it is generally not recommended as it can cause clumping and premature shedding of the extensions.
-
When applied properly and cared for correctly, lash extensions should not damage your natural lashes. However, it is important to go to a reputable and experienced lash technician to ensure that the extensions are applied safely and correctly.
-
To maintain the fullness of your lash extensions and the health of your natural lashes, it is recommended to get them filled every 2-3 weeks.
-
Yes, you can swim and shower with lash extensions, but it is important to wash your lash extensions after a shower or swimming session in the pool or ocean to prevent the lash extensions from premature fallout or clumping from salt water.
-
When applied correctly, lash extensions should not feel heavy or uncomfortable. In fact, many people find that they don't even notice that they are wearing them!
-
To prepare for your lash extension appointment, it is important to arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes. Avoid using oil-based products on your lashes in the days leading up to your appointment, as these can weaken the adhesive bond.
-
While lash extensions are generally safe for most people, they may not be suitable for those with certain eye conditions or allergies. It is important to consult with your lash technician and disclose any relevant medical information before getting lash extensions.
PMU FAQs
-
Semi-permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattooing technique that involves depositing pigments into the skin to enhance or mimic natural features of the face.
-
The duration of semi-permanent makeup varies depending on the treatment area, the type of pigment used, and individual factors such as skin type and lifestyle habits. Generally, semi-permanent makeup can last from 6 months to 2 years.
-
Semi-permanent makeup can be applied to areas such as the eyebrows, eyelids, lips, and even the scalp to create a natural-looking hairline.
-
While some discomfort may be experienced during the procedure, most clients report minimal pain. A numbing cream can be applied to the area to minimize any discomfort.
-
Unlike traditional tattooing, semi-permanent makeup uses specialized pigments that are designed to fade over time and mimic natural skin tones. This allows for a more subtle and natural-looking result.
-
The healing process for semi-permanent makeup typically takes 5-7 days, during which time the treated area may be red, tender, and slightly swollen. It is important to avoid exposure to water, sun, and other irritants during this time.
-
Semi-permanent makeup can be adjusted or removed if necessary, although this will require additional treatments. It is important to choose an experienced and qualified artist who can provide guidance on the best course of action.
-
It is generally safe to get semi-permanent makeup, provided that proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed. It is important to choose an artist who uses sterile equipment and high-quality pigments.
-
When choosing a semi-permanent makeup artist, it is important to do your research and choose someone who is experienced, qualified, and has a portfolio of work that demonstrates their skills. Look for reviews and recommendations from past clients, and don't be afraid to ask questions about their training and experience.
